About Me
Having studied photography at college, gaining triple distinction star and student of the year at Newcastle College, it opened my eyes to all the possibilities there are with photography. Learning about different techniques and styles, it made me realise how I love working with people. Whether it’s a single client, family, event or a big team, I enjoy capturing everyone’s personality.
Motorsport is my passion, having watched F1 with my dad for years. Whilst at college, I decided to focus on motorsport photography, going to all different types of races. I used this as practice to gain the experience and skills that you need to become professional in this field. From this, I met so many amazing people, gaining contacts and opportunities. My dream is to work in Formula 1 with a team, capturing the speed and technology, so this is my journey in getting there. I am hard working and dedicated to make this dream come true one day.
Over the years, I have gained a wide variety of work experience in motorsport and other areas. A few of my favourite experiences have to be when I worked with Team Brit. Initially, this was just a day of work experience for me at Oulton Park on one of their test days. They were pleased with my work and I asked them for another opportunity. This lead to me photographing for them in Snetterton alongside their official photographer and I also have more work lined up for the future with their amazing team. I’ve also
worked with the photo agency, 23-one, second shooting for them on a hospitality job for Motor Racing Legends at Donington Historic Festival. Along with these jobs, I regularly go to events including the BTCC, Formula 4 and the GT Cup to practice and refine my skill set. I like to take a wide variety of portraits and trackside shots to cover all aspects of the race.
When I’m not at a race track, I enjoy doing corporate jobs. I have gained work on the puppet show Dodge’s Pup School, which is aired on CBeebies. This was two days of shooting stills for the TV production. I have also worked with the celebrity chef, Thom Bateman, in his restaurant The Flintlock. This involved taking professional portraits of him and his staff, action shots in the kitchen, drinks being made behind the bar, and photos of the food and drink in their seating areas. Alongside this, I have taken staff portraits for Joe Court Forestry Ltd in Surrey, food photography at the Black Lion in Butterton, portraits for Peak District Yoga at the Roaches, staff portraits and action shots for Your Padel in Uttoxeter, photos of a baby shower, photos of a wedding, athlete shots for Vinco Sport and the list goes on. To put it shortly, I have gained a lot of experience over the past few years and I’m always keen to learn new skills.
I shoot on two professional Canon R6 MIII camera bodies, so I’m always prepared for anything. I have a range of lenses including a Canon RF 100 – 500mm and an RF f/2.8 24 – 105mm. When needed I have two wireless, Canon speedlites fls
ashand soft boxes. This is the majority of my equipment that I use to create my polished, high quality imagery.
